SIMGOV 2018 - FUTURE READY (20-21 MARCH)

Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Would your government department be ready if a catastrophic incident occurred within a major Australian city? SimGOV is for federal, state and local government agencies to look at operational risk management and how to apply it to their operations. Effective decision-making is underpinned by excellent quality information. Future outcomes are improved by implementing lessons learnt. This SimGOV forum provides case studies using modelling, simulation and gaming. Participants will be working in a team on tables and will be provided with a different hypothetical catastrophic incident whereby throughout the two days they will identify how this will affect their workplace and the community. Presenters will introduce participants to M&S techniques to apply to their incident.
